Portugal already knows its Nations League opponents

The Portugal national football team met their opponents this Thursday in Group A of the Nations League, taking part in the second pot of the draw held in Paris. They will face Croatia, Poland and Scotland.

In the fourth competition, which the Portuguese won on their debut, Portugal are in pot two with teams from Denmark, Belgium and Hungary, just below top seeds Spain, trophy winners, Croatia, finalists, Italy and the Netherlands.

In League A, the third level will feature teams from France, Germany, Switzerland and Poland, and the fourth level will include Serbia, Scotland, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Israel.

The group stage will take place from September 5 to November 19, the quarter-finals, the debut stage of the competition, from March 20 to 25, 2025, and the Final Four from June 4 to 8.

Portugal won the tournament on their debut in 2019, beating the Netherlands 1-0 in the final at the Stadio Dragao. In 2021, France beat Spain 2-1, and in 2023, Iberia won the trophy in a penalty shootout (5-4) against Croatia after 0-0.

The draw will take place after the 48th UEFA Executive Committee Congress, where PFL President Pedro Proença will take over as President of the European Leagues.
