The alarm was reported by a neighbor who smelled a foul odor. Thirty-eight cats were also found alive in the same house but were not being properly cared for.

“The neighbors informed us about the situation. We knew this house because 58 cats had already been rescued in 2019. And now it’s happening again,” the French Animal Welfare Association said. BFMTV.

Following the discovery, the suspect was placed in police custody but was subsequently released. The man will appear in court in June this year and could face charges of willfully abandoning and neglecting a domestic or captive animal.

TV channel BFMTV He also said that a fundraising campaign will be created to help the animals that are found and will then be put up for adoption.
