The crash between five vehicles resulted in minor injuries to 14 people and forced the closure of the EN106 bypass at Penafiel this Thursday morning.
The first collision took place around 7:20 am between two vehicles at the entrance to the EN106 motorway linking Penafiel with Lusada. As a result of this collision, three other vehicles also collided while trying to evade the crashed vehicles.
Sources of civil protection disclosed cm that seven wounded were treated on the spot, seven more were taken to the hospital.
23 operators and 11 vehicles were sent to the place.
