Director’s Award goes to Christopher Nolan for Oppenheimer

This morning, the 76th Directors Guild of America Awards honored director Christopher Nolan for his film Oppenheimer, cementing his Oscar favoritism.

Nolan won the English-language director’s award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Feature-Length Theatrical Film, beating out Greta Gerwig (“Barbie”), Martin Scorsese (“Killers of the Flower Moon”), Yorgos Lanthimos (“Poor Creatures”) and Alexander Payne. (“Excluded”).

“I am honored to be in such good company,” said Christopher Nolan in his acceptance speech. “The DGA Awards are special,” he continued, emphasizing that “no one walks on this stage alone.”
