A 35-year-old man was stabbed twice in the leg on a bus in Loures on Tuesday morning.
The alarm came at 7:45 am. The patrol was called after reports of disturbances on the 2754 Carris Metropolitana bus stopped in Rua da República.
Law enforcement officers found the victim on public transport. In addition to traces of blood, the victim had two deep puncture wounds on one of his legs. Loures firefighters were immediately called and treated him while still on the bus. Agents heard the man’s account of the attack and later the account of the assailant who was caught with a bloody knife in his hand. They presented different versions of the story. The victim stated that it was an argument, without specifying the reason, and the attacker explained that he reacted because he was robbed. The man who was stabbed was taken to the Beatriz Angelo Hospital in Loures and the attacker was detained.
