According to the Jornal de Notícias, the main suspect in the death of a seven-year-old boy in Bela Vista, Setubal, will be the child’s uncle.
According to the same source, the house of the alleged shooter, the child’s uncle, has been empty since Sunday. Authorities believe the man fled, taking his family with him.
It is worth recalling that witnesses initially claimed that the shots were fired from a moving car, but the judicial police ruled out this version.
The boy, who was declared brain dead on Sunday, died this Monday in the pediatric intensive care unit at the Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon. The grandmother was also injured and was later transferred to the San Bernardo Hospital in Setúbal.
