Day two of campaign begins with final radio debate

The second day of campaigning for the legislative elections will begin this Monday with the last radio debate between the parties holding seats in parliament, from which President Chegi will be absent.

After the debate, which will be broadcast simultaneously at 10:00 on TSF, Antena 1, Rádio Observador and Rádio Renascença, PS Secretary General Pedro Nuno Santos travels to the Azores archipelago for a rally-dinner in Ponta Delgada.

The rest of the party’s leaders will remain on the mainland, while PSD President Luis Montenegro will travel to Beja in the afternoon to contact the population and visit Herdade da Figueirinha, located near the airport in the constituency.

The election day of the main figure of the Democratic Alliance (the coalition uniting PSD, CDS-PP and PPM) ends in Faro with a visit to the site where the Algarve Central Hospital is planned to be built, new contacts with the streets and a rally.

CDS-PP President Nuno Melo will return to the campaign and, after a break due to Covid-19, will hold a rally in Ponte de Lima, a Christian Democratic municipality, Viana do Castelo district.

The only person missing from this morning’s radio debate will be Chegi President Andre Ventura. The party said the MP was not allowed to participate through Porto and for this reason Ventura’s agenda will only have two rallies: one at lunch and one at dinner, in Aveiro and Sever do Vouga.

Liberal Initiative President Rui Rocha will focus his efforts on the second day of the election campaign in Sines on visiting the region’s port.

The coordinator of the blockade caravan, Mariana Mortagua, will join a demonstration of Tele Performance workers in Lisbon in the afternoon, and in the evening there will be a rally and dinner in Évora.

PCP General Secretary Paulo Raimundo, representing the HDZ (the coalition uniting communists and PEV), will be in Alverque in the afternoon to contact the population and will end the day with a rally in Marinha Grande, Leiria district.

PAN representative Ines Souza Real will be in Faro, first to meet with the rector of the University of the Algarve, then to contact an association supporting the inclusion of LGBTI+ people, she will also be with musicians from the district and will end the day in contact with the population.

Livre representative Rui Tavares will have an agenda in Lisbon, where he will be in contact with the citizens of Saldanha.
