Luis Lopez, 51, will go on trial on the 18th of this month for the May 2023 murder and dismemberment of 47-year-old Waldene Mendez in Cadaval, and a police officer concluded that a neighbor helped him hide the body. This woman is now in pre-trial detention for abuse of an elderly person. Louis believed that his lover Waldene only wanted him for his money.
The neighbor would have helped Luis with cleaning the car, house and transporting the mattress, but the prosecutor’s office closed the investigation. Meanwhile, she was arrested for assaulting an elderly man, but his wife claims that CM that the detainee is innocent. “I’m sure she didn’t hit him.” The three of us lived and (…) helped my husband a lot. I don’t understand why he came up with this,” he said CM. The prisoner even sent a letter to an elderly woman from the pre-trial detention center. “Only you can help me get out of here. You are the only witness who knows that I never beat him, I just wanted to help you,” you can read.
