The only goal brought Moreirense home victory over Arroca

An early goal from Hernán Infande guaranteed Moreirense a 1-0 victory over Arroca this Sunday in the 26th round of the Portuguese Football League.

The Gunners, who took sixth place, thereby increase their lead from seventh place to eight points, which is occupied by Arukense’s team.

Remember the best moments of the meeting

Without David Simão serving a suspension and Mujica absent with a right hand injury, Arroca felt the absence and was unable to withstand the difficulties faced by the home team.

The goal came early, 10 minutes later, when Frimpong’s cross from the left found Hernanni Infande, who was at the heart of the centre-backs, heading into Arouca’s goal without much resistance.

After this, the team led by Daniel Sousa tried to react, but without much success. Even though they had better possession, their scoring opportunities were few and far between.

Arouca managed to reach Kevin’s goal in danger in the 40th minute. Cristo Gonzalez shot from the penalty area, but Maracas blocked the ball. The deflection was tricky and forced Kevin into a difficult save.

Just before the break, Ruy Borges was forced to change teams due to an injury to Hernani Infande. The striker, who made his debut against Moreira de Conegos, was injured against Montero before the rest whistle and was forced to leave the field on a stretcher.

This trend continued into the second half and Moreirense continued to hold the lead with some ease. Arouca, despite his best efforts, could not find the consistency to overcome the home side’s defensive barrier with caution.

Ten minutes before the end, Ponque almost compromised Moreirense. The player received the ball unsuccessfully and left the ball to Morozov, who almost took advantage of the chance, but the shot went poorly and was saved by Kevin.

Daniel Sousa’s men did everything possible to “win” the draw, but Moreirense felt comfortable and did not allow this to happen.
