Sporting’s Francisco Trincao and Bayern’s Raphael Guerreiro were excluded from the Portugal squad this Monday due to injury.
According to a statement from the Portuguese Football Federation, both athletes “were declared unfit by the health and fitness department.”
As an alternative, selector Roberto Martinez invited Dani Mota to join the team’s efforts. Mota from Milan is 25 years old and an under-21 international.
