The Portuguese, married and mother of two, has been the representative director of the RSA and Black Dog Films London for five years.
The Los Angeles film company’s president says Matilda had “a comprehensive knowledge of the company’s culture and a proven ability to work strategically and creatively with talent.”
She also states that she was “passionate” about new opportunities, be it “in advertising, digital content or music videos.”
According to SAPOMAG, the producer left Portugal at 18 and headed to London. At the time, she was studying theater arts and “wanted to become an actress, but didn’t know where to study.” In an interview, he explains that “there was no point in competing with English actresses for English roles.”
“I once wrote a letter to Jeremy Zimmerman asking him to hire me for a film—as if he were—but he invited me to work in his office.”
At the same time, the premiere of his first feature film made for cinema took place: “Zelvagen Gardens”.
Later, at the age of 21, he began to conduct castings and understand how the industry works. “Every week the producers would come and I would listen to what they had to say and learn,” he says.
She adds that working as a producer was not part of the plan, but she eventually found her “role in the film world.”
She became known for her work on “Medo Profundo” (2017), “Comboio Noturno para Lisboa” (2013), “Jardim Especial” (2015) and “Short Film About Hat” (2015), thus leaving the poorest cinema. world.
She was the mother of two children and married to Diego, a Brazilian. He was celebrating his wedding anniversary on the day he was tragically killed by a car.
The only survivor was a two-month-old baby, the couple’s youngest child. The family was heading to the San Francisco Zoo when the accident happened.
