Three men, aged between 22 and 36 years old, were detained by the PPR in the municipality of Odemira (Beja) on suspicion of drug trafficking, while the military seized 364 doses of heroin and two doses of hashish.
In a statement released this Friday, the National Republican Guard (GNR) announced that the suspects were arrested in the town of São Teotónio, in the municipality of Alentejo, on Tuesday through the Criminal Investigation Center (NIC) of Odemira.
However, the detainees were already in the Odemira judicial court, two of them were placed in preventive detention, and the other was released, but was required to report to the territorial post at his place of residence for three weeks, the State People’s Republic indicated. .
As part of a drug trafficking investigation that “lasted approximately five months,” the Guard determined that the suspect in the investigation was “engaged in direct sales to consumers.”
Last Tuesday, police conducted three searches of vehicles and issued two warrants, one for a search of a home and another for an arrest.
The PNP stressed that, in addition to the three detainees, it seized 364 doses of heroin and two doses of hashish, as well as 2,565 euros in cash, 10 mobile phones, various documentation, three vehicles, two precision digital scales and various packaging. material and packaging of narcotic products.
The operation was reinforced by the territorial post of San Teotoniu, which, like Odemira’s NIK, belonged to the Beja territorial command of the GNA.
