The Portuguese national team completed its final training and left for Slovenia

This Monday, Portugal will hold its last training session at Cidade do Futebol in Oeiras before heading to Ljubljana in the afternoon for a friendly match with Slovenia on Tuesday in preparation for Euro 2024 football.

Portugal’s team meeting is scheduled for 10am, with the first 15 minutes open to the media.

Midfielder Matheus Nunez was absent from training on Sunday with a leg problem, while goalkeeper Diogo Costa was back in action and in good form with the rest of his team-mates after missing the 5-2 draw with Sweden due to physical problems. .

The Portuguese delegation leaves for Slovenia at 14:30, and at 18:30 (19:30 local time), coach Roberto Martinez and a yet-to-be-named player announce the match at a press conference at the Stozice Stadium. which will be the stage for the game.

The first ever Slovenia-Portugal match is scheduled for 19:45 (20:45), and will be refereed by Irfan Pelto from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Portugal will also play three more preparatory matches ahead of participation in this year’s European Championship, all on Portuguese soil, with Finland at the Estadio José Alvalade in Lisbon (Croatia) at the National Stadium in Oeiras and the Republic of Ireland at Aveiro on 4, 8 and 11 June respectively.

The Kinas team is in Group F of Euro 2024, in which they will face Turkey, the Czech Republic and the winner of play-off path C (Georgia or Greece).

The European debut is scheduled for June 18, with the Czechs in Leipzig, then the fights with the Turks on June 22 in Dortmund, and with the opponent leaving the playoffs – on June 26 in Gelsenkirchen.

The 2024 European Championships will take place in Germany from June 14 to July 14.
