Midfielder Matheus Nunez will miss Portugal’s friendly against Slovenia on Tuesday in preparation for Euro 2024 due to physical problems, the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) said on Monday.
“The FPF health and performance department has declared the Manchester City player unfit to play for the Slovenian national team and will therefore not travel with the team to Ljubljana,” reads a note published on the organization’s official website.
Matheus Nunez, who started and scored in Sweden’s 5-2 win, has already missed the country’s last two training sessions with a leg problem and will not be present for Portugal’s final match before the list is published. the next European Championship, which will take place on May 20.
