Putin again links Ukraine to Moscow attack: ‘This is part of Kyiv’s attacks on Russia’

Russian President Vladimir Putin once again linked Ukraine with the massacre at Theater CRaucus Town Hall, in Moscow, leaving at least 137 people dead and 182 injured.

“It is important to answer the question: why did the terrorists try to go to Ukraine after their crime? Who was waiting for them there? This atrocity could be just one of several attempts by those who have been fighting our country since 2014 into the hands of the neo-Nazi regime in Kyiv. This is part Kiev’s attacks on Russia,” Putin said on Tuesday, as quoted by Reuters.

Daesh claimed responsibility for Friday’s attack, while authorities in Ukraine, a country Russia invaded in February 2022, have ruled out any involvement.

To date, security forces have detained 11 people in connection with the attack, four of whom personally participated in the attack.
