A man in his 40s went missing on Saturday evening at sea near the Fradinhos islets on the island of Terceira in the Azores, the National Maritime Authority reported this Sunday.
According to Maritime authorities, at 18:30 (19:30 Lisbon), an alert was received from the victim’s friend that he had not returned from diving.
“A search was immediately launched on the spot by the crew of the Praia da Vitória and Angra do Heroísmo rescue station, members of the Praia da Vitória Local Marine Police Command, supported by a Portuguese Air Force aircraft,” the organization said. .
