An ambush on a policeman early this Monday morning ended in death on Rua Atriz Maria Matos in Benfica, Lisbon.
For what CM It turned out that at about 2 a.m. in Alges, the couple tried to rob a police officer with a replica firearm. The suspects forced the agent to go to an ATM under threat and then took him to their home in Benfica. Once inside the house, the agent managed to get a gun and, in self-defense, shot one of the suspects.
ABOUT CM he knows the agent was “desperate” and had a “panic face” when he called his neighbor, also a police officer, for help. PSP’s daughter and wife were absent from Lisbon yesterday as they were home for Easter.
The victim, 40 years old, was wounded in the chest, the man died. The woman was later intercepted on a public road, already in her car, as she was about to flee. She was detained by the PSP.
PSP and PJ were called to the scene.
