The Carris Metropolitana road network will be optimized in the municipality of Loures from Wednesday by creating four lines, strengthening timetables and adjusting routes, the city council announced on Tuesday.
A statement from the Lisbon County Municipality explained that changes will be made to more than fifty lines “with the aim of optimizing service,” ensuring “more comprehensive coverage” and adapting timetables “to the needs of passengers.” .
On the other hand, the lines Bucelas-Lores/Circular via Ribas (2038), Bucelas-Zambujal via Sete Casas and Loures (2039), Bucelas-Lisbon (Campo Grande) via Cabeça de Montacic and Ramada ( 2761) and Bucelas will be created – Lisbon (Campo Grande) via Ribas and Manjueira (2782).

Carris Metropolitana is the only public road transport service in the Lisbon metropolitan area that also operates at municipal level, with the exception of the municipalities of Lisbon, Cascais and Barreiro, where municipal companies operate.
Carris Metropolitana’s area of operation is divided into four zones, which include 15 municipalities that have delegated their responsibilities for public road transport to Transportes Metropolitanos de Lisboa (TML).
