This is one of the highlights of the document “Infinite Dignity”, which will be presented on Monday by the Dicastery of the Doctrine of the Faith and which clarifies several issues, such as the possibility of baptism for transgender people, prohibiting Catholics from joining Freemasonry, housing the ashes of the dead or encouraging single mothers to access the sacraments .
The blessing of gay couples will also be one of the topics included in these directives on human dignity, in which the Vatican will once again clarify the difference between a blessing and a sacrament, emphasizing that “blessing is not the same as consecration.” .
This is the first substantive document of the new man in charge of the doctrine of the Catholic Church, the Argentine Cardinal Victor Manuel Fernandez, considered progressive and very close to Pope Francis and who headed the most important dicastery for just over six months. Holy See.
