According to the National Office of Emergency Management and Civil Protection, the landslide alarm in the Union of Sintra Parishes occurred at 7:48 am and, despite the mobilization of three vehicles and six operational personnel to the site, it was confirmed that it occurred without serious consequences.
“This is a house in relatively good condition, the wall of which has collapsed onto a public road,” municipal vice-president Bruno Parreira (PS) explained to Luse, adding that “there are no reports of injuries, only material damage to the house.” public place.”
The person also in charge of the Municipal Civil Protection Service admitted that at the beginning of the fall of the wall there could have been a “heavy ground problem due to the accumulation of rainwater”, but the municipality confirmed that “the owner had already been notified to proceed with the repair of the wall.”
The wall at Consiglieri Pedroso 23 belongs to the property where the Palácio de Sintra Boutique House operates, which Lusa contacted but was unable to speak to the person responsible at the time.
