Two men were arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and one of them was placed in preventive detention, PSP Castelo Branco said on Tuesday.
In a statement, the Castelo Branco district commander explained that it made two arrests in accordance with two arrest warrants issued by the competent judicial authority.
The PSP reported that one of the detainees, a 39-year-old man, is accused of allegedly committing a crime of domestic violence and qualified infliction of harm.
The second detainee, 52 years old, is accused of committing a crime related to domestic violence.
The detainees were presented to the Castelo Branco Judicial Court, which imposed a preventive detention on the youngest of them, and on the eldest a ban on any contact with the victim and on approaching the victim at a distance of less than 500 meters.
