An Alijo school teacher arrested for sex crimes against children has been suspended from her professional activities and from communicating with the victims, a court source said on Tuesday.
The Judicial Police (PJ) of Vila Real detained on Monday a 50-year-old employee of a school in Alijo, who several sources later confirmed was a teacher, on suspicion of sexually abusing dependent minors, as well as committing acts of a sexual nature with teenagers.
In a statement, the judiciary said the suspect “sexually harassed two minors aged 13 and also initiated several contacts through the WhatsApp application with three other minors aged 15.”
The Alijo court, where he was heard on Tuesday at the first judicial interrogation, applied to the defendant as coercive measures the suspension of his professional activities, he was also prohibited from having any contact with the victims and taking into account his identity and place of residence. term (TIR).
To the Lusa agency, Carlos Peixoto, director of the D. Sancho II school group in Alijo, explained that the school was subject to an investigation process against this teacher, the findings of which were submitted to the court.
The school process began with a complaint filed by the mother, who also reported the case to the judicial police.
