An “industrial accident” with an agricultural tractor led to the death of a man this Wednesday in the municipality of Marinha Grande, Leiria district, a source from the Subregional Command for Emergency Situations and Civil Protection of Leiria told Lusa.
According to the Lusa agency, Marinha Grande volunteer fire department commander Mario Silva, the victim was a man “appearing to be about 30 years old” who was working in a forest area in San Pedro de Moel.
The same source said that the farm vehicle the victim was driving overturned. When firefighters arrived on scene, the man was in “cardiopulmonary arrest.”
The Leiria Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command said the alarm was raised at 16:26 and volunteer firefighters from Marinha Grande, GNR San Pedro de Moel and the Leiria Medical Emergency Vehicle (VMER) were on the scene. . .
