The book “Identity and Family,” a manifesto with texts by 22 authors from various conservative circles, directed against “anti-family,” “gender ideology,” abortion and euthanasia, is raising a wave of protest. Pedro Passos Coelho, the former prime minister who presented the book, is one of the victims.

Ana Bacalhao chose to show excerpts from a text written by João César das Neves, in which he says that “the supposedly tyrant ladies never complained or expressed their dissatisfaction.” In turn, Elio Morais from Linda Martini e Paus criticizes “conservative little people” whose problem is not in the family, but in the fact that “they don’t know how to do anything at home.”
