APCVD opened a case on charges of throwing objects at Arroca Bovaista

On Monday, the Authority for the Prevention and Combating of Violence in Sports (APCVD) opened a case for alleged throwing of objects on the pitch during the Football League I game between Arouca and Boavista.

In a statement, the APCVD said the administrative proceedings were opened “in light of the news published in the media about throwing objects into the playing area” at a meeting held on Sunday at the Arroca Municipal Stadium, which the home team won 2-1.

According to press reports, one of the assistant referees handed the referee a knife, which was thrown on the field and allegedly came from the stands where Boavista fans had gathered.

According to published news, pieces of chairs were also thrown onto the lawn near the Arukense emblem.
