Joel Koshy, 40, fatally shot six people at a shopping center in the Bondi suburb of Sydney, Australia. Five of the six people he killed were women, as were most of the 12 wounded. Authorities confirmed that the attacker suffered from schizophrenia.

CHRONOLOGY OF EVENTS
10:00 am: Joel Koshy was seen ordering red chicken curry at a restaurant about a block from the mall. According to the Daily Mail, he opened his wallet but did not pay for the food and told the employee he would be back soon.
12:21: He returned to the restaurant, ordered the same chicken curry and spent 15 minutes eating.
He visited a small warehouse he had rented and caught the train back to Bondi Junction station.
15:10: Joel entered the Westfield Mall but left again. He returned 20 minutes later with a dark backpack.
He began stabbing the first victims on the 4th floor, near the Sourdough Bakery.
He stabbed to death 38-year-old Ashley Good while she was holding a nine-month-old baby.
Dawn Singleton, 25, was also fatally stabbed, this time outside a Chanel store.
The other fatal victims were architect Jade Yang, 47, security guard Faraz Tahir, 30, Pikriya Darchia, 55, and Yixuan Cheng, 27.
16:00: Moments after the attack, Officer Amy Scott arrived on the scene and yelled at Joel to “drop the knife.” Koshy approached Amy and picked up the knife before he was shot.
