Andrea Norheim, a Norwegian player for Sporting, condemned the poor conditions in the dressing room at the Maritimo stadium during the game between Lionesses and Madeira.
“When the dressing room feels more like a prison,” the centre-back wrote in the caption of the video, which has since been deleted.
In addition to the dirty shower, the images show cockroaches on the floor.
Fatima Pinto, also from Sporting, said the situation faced by the Lionesses is repeating itself.
“We’ve been setting up locker rooms like this for years. There is not one or two, but several. Often without hot water, doors, space… But sharing on social networks is “not good”… That it is not good to have such conditions,” he wrote on social networks.
On Saturday, Sporting beat Marítima 7-0. The Lionesses are two points behind Benfica at the top of the table towards the end of the championship.
