Ayrton Senna’s 41 Formula One race wins make him the sixth driver with the most wins in Formula One history. But it all started with triumph… in Estoril.
On April 21, 1985, the Brazilian racer shined on a rainy day to win a race in which only nine riders crossed the finish line.
An instructive victory means distance to second place. Lotus’ Senna finished the race one minute ahead of Ferrari’s Michele Alboreto.
There were 161 races in total, the last one was 30 years ago. On May 1, 1994, the Brazilian driver was the victim of a fatal crash at the San Marino Grand Prix in Imola. This accident changed Formula 1 forever.
He had 41 wins and three championships.
Remember the historic victory in Portugal
