Journalist Pedro Mourinho will be the main voice of the new Medialivre channel. Now. He will be joined in prime time by Eduarda Pires, a journalist who has until now anchored the 20:00 news on TV Record.
“This is probably the most important media appearance in years, but beyond the sheer novelty of the new channel, it has the most important cast of protagonists ever presented together. The opportunity to work one day with António Costa, and the next day with Pedro Santana Lopez, and shortly after that with Rui Rio, is more than tempting and will put Now at a level of communication in which viewers, politicians, decision makers will not do without the channel and the knowledge of what is being said,” said Pedro Mourinho.
The journalist also highlights the “challenging side” of creating a new channel “with a new team of journalists from different places who will work together with a single mission: to do journalism.”
For Eduarda Pires, this is “a great challenge that means professional fulfillment and growth at all levels,” as noted CM. “I am grateful to the people who have trusted me in my work and am thrilled to have the opportunity to help build a new channel from the ground up. I feel that as a team we can make a difference in journalism: in content and form,” she added.
The channel will officially launch next Friday.
