A 23-year-old man was arrested for intentionally hitting two people in January in the city of Braga and charged with two crimes of attempted murder, the Judicial Police (PJ) said on Friday.
The criminal investigation statement said the events occurred in the early morning hours of January 14 in the context of a verbal and physical altercation between the suspect, two friends who accompanied him, and two victims outside a nightspot.
“Already in his car with two friends, he drove up to the victims, caught one of them and then ran away. The victim he caught, a 24-year-old young man, suffered an open fracture of one of his legs. The second young man was not injured by pure chance,” PJ reports.
The detainee will be present at the first judicial interrogation in the Guimarães court for the application of coercive measures.
