Three airports in the United States of America have suspended arrivals and departures as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) takes action on air traffic control to “support the Department of Defense in national security efforts.”
The FAA confirmed that flights to and from Wilmington International Airport, Myrtle Beach and Charleston were interrupted until at least 2:45 p.m. Saturday. According to the American television channel CBS News, the agency also “closed the surrounding airspace.”
According to Reuters, the Joe Biden administration is “moving forward with a plan” to shoot down a Chinese balloon that was seen this Thursday in the country’s airspace.
A second balloon was reportedly seen flying over Latin America.
