This Sunday, Franco Israel underwent surgery for a meniscus injury in his right knee, Sporting announced in an official note published on its platforms. The issue means the 24-year-old goalkeeper will end his season with immediate effect.
The operation, as everything indicates, which was already planned, was “successful”, as noted in this document, it took place at the CUF Hospital and “carried out by the orthopedic medical team of the Portuguese Sports Club.”
As shown in one of the Backstage images from the reception at Portimonense, the Lions number 12 jersey already had protection in the aforementioned area.
