Cancelo crushes Manchester City

A superb goal by Portuguese Joao Cancelo (20 minutes) saw Manchester City thrash Southampton 4-0 this Saturday.

City, who also counted on Portuguese Rubén Dias and Bernardo Silva in the starting XI, always controlled the game and added a sixth win in a row, which allowed them to rise to the top of the English league, albeit with a condition, since Arsenal only play it Sunday with Liverpool.

João Cancelo, in one of his usual races, took a defender out of the way and hit hard on goal, equalizing the score 1-0.

Then it was the turn of Phil Foden (32′), who assisted the Portuguese in the first goal, and increased the lead.

In the second half, City’s celebration continued, first with Riyad Mahrez returning to goals, and then with the inevitable Erling Haaland, who sealed the final result and scored his 20th goal of the season. And this is after hitting the post in the first minutes. A fair triumph, reinforcing the good moments of the “citizens”.
