The outgoing president of FC Porto SAD, Pinto da Costa, has appealed the 35-day suspension to the full Disciplinary Council (CD) of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), a source connected to the process told Lusa this Wednesday.
A week after being punished with more than a month of punishment and a fine of 5,610 euros, the Blaugrana leader has filed an appeal, which has a suspensive effect on the decision originally taken by the professional department of this disciplinary body.
Pinto da Costa was punished for “damage to honor and reputation, as well as a defamatory accusation” for criticizing the refereeing at the end of the match, which led to the defeat of the team coached by Sérgio Conceição in the visit to Estoril Praia (1-0) , which will take place on March 30 in the 27th round of the I League.
