The outgoing deputy ombudsman of Santa Casa, Ana Vitória Azevedo, this Wednesday accused the labor minister of “telling lies” about the supposed benefits withdrawn by the administration. “I know, and this is even shocking to me, that the Santa Casa Council did not have any benefit for itself, and I would like the minister to explain what that benefit was,” the manager noted, saying that the governor had “slandered” the Advice.
Brillante Diaz denies any stake in the business
Heard before the Commission, which he himself heads, former Secretary of State for Internationalization Eurico Brillante Díaz denied interfering in Santa Casa’s business in Brazil, saying the companies’ “options” were not up to me. The MP said he had “two meetings” at the request of former Santa Casa Ombudsman Edmundo Martinho, in which “the desire to go international was clearly stated.”
Ana Jorge denies personal gain
The dismissed service provider Santa Casa, Ana Jorge, this Wednesday denied the allegations of the Minister of Labor, who said that the administrators “benefited” by receiving promotions. “I deeply deny this allegation and it is necessary to justify what the personal gain is,” the sacked leader told Renascença. Ana Jorge admitted that the year she spent at the helm of Santa Casa was “very difficult,” but assured that she did “everything so that Santa Casa continues to work for the benefit of the people.”
