FPF reported to ASAE about the illegal sale of tickets for the Cup final

The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) will lodge a complaint with the Food and Economic Security Authority (ASAE) to stop the sale of tickets for the Portuguese Cup final on the parallel market.

A source in the FPF confirmed to Lusa that the organization is filing a complaint “to initiate appropriate criminal proceedings and stop the sale of tickets on these sites,” and this is a normal procedure in such situations, as has already happened. in the Portuguese Cup and national team games.

On Wednesday, the FPF announced that the tickets it put up for sale on the same day for the Royal Cup final between Porto and Sporting, scheduled for May 26, had sold out.

Since then, according to the FPF, it has been possible to purchase tickets only from the finalist clubs, which are sold according to “their own criteria and channels”, at prices ranging from 20 to 40 euros. Both Porto and Sporting are selling tickets in stages, with priority given to members with annual seats.

However, some specialized websites resell tickets at prices significantly higher than stated, from 200 to 600 euros.

The Portuguese Cup final between Porto, winners of the last two editions, and Sporting is scheduled for May 26 at 17:15 at the Estadio Nacional in Oeiras.
