This Monday, members of the Budget and Finance Committee unanimously approved several requests for hearings with the Minister of Finance and the CEO of AT on dam taxes.
We are talking about the demands of the PSD, Chega and the Bloc de Esquerda to summon the Minister of Finance Joaquim Miranda Sarmento and the Director General of Tax and Customs (AT) Helena Borges to Parliament regarding the collection of taxes related to the dam.
Ultimately, the three requests were combined into one, with the possibility that the Secretary of State for Finance would represent the Treasury Secretary at the hearing.
In presenting the queries, MPs highlighted the need to understand the status of the settlement of the IMI dams, as well as the IMT and stamp duty related to the sale of six Douro dams by EDP to a consortium led by Angie.
