For years, Bruce Teixeira, the head of the human trafficking ring, and his associates managed to remain undetected by authorities. Messages through the application, where they were instantly deleted; drove a car with a TVDE badge. All in order to sell drugs without arousing suspicion.
Despite precautions, PSP investigated them for over a year. On Sunday, Bruce, his sister and an accomplice were arrested and more than half a million euros, drugs and three cars, including a Ferrari, were confiscated. This Wednesday, Bruce was on preventative treatment.
Known as “Bruce de Francos”, he had not worked since February 2017 and therefore had no income. He had previously been arrested along with his father for drug trafficking. The father was arrested and continued the case. He rented a “box” in Porto where he kept the drugs. The money was kept in a drawer in the mother’s room without her knowledge: more than half a million euros.
