In a message published on the official website of the President of the Republic on the Internet, the head of state believes that it is important to mark this date, “to celebrate the public’s collective commitment to a more diverse society and against discrimination against LGBTI+ people.” “.

Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa also celebrated this date in 2023 and 2022 with written messages expressing support for the fight against persistent discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, in defense of an inclusive society without prejudice and hatred.
