Bayer Leverkusen became the first team to finish the Bundesliga unbeaten.

Bayer Leverkusen, already crowned champions, this Saturday became the first team in the history of the German Football League to finish the tournament unbeaten after a 2-1 victory over Augsburg in the 34th and final round of the competition.

In addition to winning their first-ever Bundesliga title, Leverkusen became the first team to be completely unbeaten in the competition and are now on track to finish the season unbeaten in all competitions.

The Pharmacists finished the league with 28 wins, six draws and 90 points, just one short of the Bundesliga record set by Bayern Munich in the 2012/13 season.

With an unbeaten run of 51 matches, Bayer will still have to play the Europa League final against Italian side Atalanta and the German Cup final against second-division side Kaiserslautern.

The last round of the Bundesliga confirmed the relegation of Cologne, who moved to Darmstadt, and Bochum had to compete in the playoffs with the team that finished third in the second division and with Diogo Leite’s Union Berlin, saving them, albeit in the last one. A couple of minutes.
