Xander Schauffele conquers his first “big” with the PGA

The American golfer Xander Schauffele conquered this Sunday the PGA Championshipheld in its 106th edition at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville (Kentucky), United States, thanks to a birdie winner on the last hole.

Schauffele had signed birdies on the 11th and 12th to keep Viktor Hovland at bay, but the Norwegian failed where DeChambeau became the biggest contender, that 18th hole where he had already said goodbye on Saturday with a eagle. The leader had to save par on the 17th, after visiting a bunker, and he did not fail on the last one.

Schauffele turned the birdie with a half tie of the ball on the edge of the hole and won in the tiebreaker with DeChambeau.
