Man caught filming volleyball players’ private parts arrested and confesses to police

Brazilian police have detained a man for filming and photographing the private parts of volleyball players at the Women’s Nations League in Rio de Janeiro last week. Later, before the authorities, Carlos Eduardo Freire de Brito admitted his crimes.

The man was hired by the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV) as an escort for the Iran national team, which participated in the men’s Nations League. Having an ID, he had access to the games of the women’s version of the tournament, where he had to commit crimes.

As reported by Globo Esporte with reference to TV Globo, the man admitted that he took the pictures “for the sake of his own lust, for example, for masturbation” and saved them on his computer and mobile phone.

Carlos Brito admitted to collecting images of players’ private parts in Brazil-USA, Serbia-China and Canada-Thailand. He admitted that he was noticed and that he was “embarrassed” and then kept the equipment for himself.

The man entered the pavilion with a semi-professional camera equipped with magnifying lenses, capable of recording photos and videos. He was caught by a surveillance company hired by CBV while he was filming the players.

A search and seizure warrant was subsequently issued and three devices were seized from the hotel where Carlos Brito was staying, as well as all images collected. The man was arrested and will be charged with “sexual harassment” and “unauthorized recording of sexual intimacy,” reports Globo Esporte.
