PSP guarantees “all necessary devices” for the safe staging of the Portuguese Cup final

The Public Security Police (PSP) this Friday guaranteed that it has “all the necessary equipment” so that the Portuguese Cup final, which will take place this Sunday, can take place safely.

“I can say that the public security police have all the necessary skills for this event, as is usually the case in this kind of spectacle. We have patrols, the traffic aspect, the rapid reaction force, the intervention corps, the explosive activation unit, the criminal investigation unit… all the specialists will be here trained to ensure that this event, another Portuguese Cup final, is successful and safe,” – assured the deputy and commander of the Oeiras police unit from the PSP, Carla Duarte, at a press conference held on the lawn of the National Stadium in Oeiras.

Carla Duarte assured that this Sunday all conditions will be created so that fans of the two rivals can coexist next to the National Stadium in Oeiras.

“I mentioned all the possibilities that PSP has and will have on Sunday to welcome all fans. The PSP has its own intelligence team and monitors the fans in the teams. We have all the equipment necessary to receive fans. both clubs, teams and organized groups of fans, and we are ready to prepare this device to receive the entire public,” he emphasized.

PSP also asked fans to arrive at the stadium early, advising FC Porto fans to use the A8/CREL to enter the south side of the National Stadium, while Sporting fans should take the A1/A5 to be able to enter from the north side of the venue, and also warns of extreme heat forecast for the date of the meeting.

Carla Duarte also expressed confidence that the effectiveness of the plan will prevent delays to the site and that they will take place without any restrictions, despite the prospect of a “sold-out” in the Jamora stands.

“In terms of late entry, as we have already advised, as well as clubs, fans should arrive early and we want to believe that they will come in and that we will definitely be able to allow them to watch the game in peace in their seat.” , he explained.
