Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) returns to the Circuit of Good Memories in Mugello this weekend for the Italian MotoGP Grand Prix, the seventh race of the World Speed Championship.
The Portuguese rider has already won there in the Moto3 category in 2015 and Moto2 in 2018, finishing second in the 2021 MotoGP race.
“This is one of the most special races of the year in the incredible setting of Tuscany. The route is quite challenging, with many changes in direction, which are made more difficult with these heavy bikes,” explained the Almada rider, who was quoted in an advisory press release from the Trackhouse team.
Miguel Oliveira, 29, also highlights the “difficulty with braking in the first turn” due to the “high speed achieved on the main straight.”
“But it’s an incredible track. I have great memories from my first Moto3 win. This is a special place,” emphasized the Portuguese racer.
Italian Davide Brivio, sporting director of Trackhouse, the team that employs the Portuguese driver, believes Oliveira is “increasingly adapting” to Aprilia.
“This is the last race before the break, so it is important for us to finish with a good result,” the same leader emphasized.
Miguel Oliveira arrives at this tour in 13th place in the championship with 29 points after the 10th place achieved in Catalunya on Sunday.
Spaniard Jorge Martin (Ducati) is in the lead with 155 points.
