Lointek Gernika Bizkaia qualified for the Eurocup group stage this Wednesday, October 12 after beat Phantoms Boom Basket 92-51 the second leg of the qualifying round which was played in Maloste (Gernika-Lumo). In the first leg, the Basque team won by 40 points (62-102).
Lointek Gernika’s dominance was total from start to finish. In the first quarter the local team achieved an advantage of eight points (21-13) and upon reaching the break he left the match sentenced (47-25).
In the resumption the script of the meeting did not change; Lointek Gernika Bizkaia was much superior on the field and reached the end of the third quarter with a favorable result of 69-35.
In the last quarter the Biscayan team rounded off their display and took the win (92-51).
The Biscay team will be framed in Group H of the Euro Cup together with the Italian Reyer Venecia, the German Rutronik Stars Keltern and the Spanish Movistar Estudiantes. The Lointek Gernika’s first match will be played on October 27 (6:30 p.m.) on the track of the German team.
