The head of the European AD list, Sebastian Bugalho, said this Friday that the Portuguese will have to choose between those who want to “move forward” or “be left behind” and was confident that they would “choose security and stability”.
In a speech closing the Democratic Alliance (AD) rally in Arco da Rua Augusta after the traditional departure from Chiado, Bugalho said that in these elections the Portuguese will have to choose who “keeps common sense and who alternates between extremism in Portugal and there.” . go to the government” or prevent those who rule “along with extremists.”
It is a choice, he said, continuing his criticism of the socialist candidacy led by Marta Temido, between “those who stick to personal attacks and who do not give up decisions that are intended for the people.”
“The choice on the 9th will be made between the future that AD represents and the past in which there were those who could not create a future for Portugal,” he said.
Bugalho also said that the campaign has taken on “the challenge of making the impossible possible” and that, from 9 June, this candidacy entails “five years of dedication and work in the service of the Portuguese people in the European Parliament.”
In his speech, he also recalled some of the measures of the coalition program for these European women, such as the single European card and the creation of a financial support network to protect elderly homes and villages.
He concluded his speech by calling for votes “for freedom, for peace, for democracy, for the Portuguese, for a future that will never become the past again.”
