A Ukrainian warplane fired its first shot, hitting a target in Belgorod, Russia. Sky News. A Ukrainian military source said that a “Russian command center” was hit during the attack.

Ukraine has already carried out several drone attacks on Russian territory, but the use of a military aircraft to attack targets inside Russia could be seen by Moscow as a new escalation of the conflict.
According to Sky News, The United States of America and France recently stated that the Ukrainian army is allowed to use its weapons on Russian territory. However, it is not specified what type of ammunition was used in this attack, nor its origin.
