On Thursday morning, a fire destroyed a building in Porto, leaving one person injured and 13 people homeless. Five of them are to be relocated by the Social Security Service.
A resident who suffered from smoke poisoning was taken to a hospital in Santo António.
Around 03:30, Porto firefighters were given a fire warning for a house on the Rua de Sant Sebastian in Porto. Volunteer firefighters from Porto were also called.
Porto’s PSP was mobilized to support firefighting operations. INEM was also there.
Twenty-one operators were mobilized to the scene, supported by six vehicles.
At the moment, work is underway to prevent the spread of fire to other houses.
