Debast is delighted with Sporting: “I was convinced after conversations with Amorim”

In statements quoted by Belgian newspaper HLN, praise for the new club increased: “My choice was inspired by the trust this historic club places in me. “Sporting is the right step because its sporting objectives match my ambitions.”

Playing in the Champions League was one of the main goals of the Belgian footballer, who arrived at Alvalade on a free transfer after the end of his contract with Anderlecht. Japanese Morita has a contract until 2026, but Sporting’s SAD intends to extend the player’s contract for another two years when he returns from vacation to take part in pre-season work. Amorim wants the club to reward the midfielder for the season and also motivate him further for the 2024/25 season.
