Associação Desportiva de Árvore Forças Segurança Unidas and Grupo Desportivo de Arvore have joined forces and will hold a futsal solidarity tournament next Sunday in Vila do Conde to help the villager.
Ricardo Ferreira, 45, had a swimming pool accident in September 2021 and became paralyzed. Since then, his and his family’s lives have changed, and he has undergone several intensive therapy courses to improve his quality of life.
The funds collected by these two associations in the Arvore parish in Vila do Conde will be used to cover the costs of treatment.
“The case of Ricardo Ferreira came to our attention thanks to some people who know our association and our strong solidarity. I am extremely pleased that the two Tree associations have come together for this cause. I hope that this tournament will be the first of many actions that we want to develop together in the future,” explains Bruno Brini, President of the Associação Desportiva de Árvore Forças Segurança Unidas.
The solidarity event will take place at the Municipal Sports Pavilion of Canidelo in Vila do Conde throughout next Sunday, and will be attended by clubs and associations of the municipality.
In addition to the tournament, the solidarity event will include a T-shirt giveaway. The money collected, as well as the income from the bar and team registration, goes entirely to the benefit of Ricardo Ferreira.
